TAOC Meeting 2025

Hafnia has recently concluded its second Technical and Operational Committee (TAOC) meeting of 2025, held between September 23-24 in Copenhagen.

 

The biannual event brought together pool partners from across the globe with approximately 35 delegates in attendance from more than 14 countries.

 

Key topics at the 2025 Copenhagen meeting included: 

  • Security and Geopolitical Risk: Hans Tino Hansen, CEO of Risk Intelligence, did an in-depth presentation about the geopolitical risks shaping the industry.  
  • Drydockings: Stakeholder communications and discussions on how the Pool and its partners can get the highest TCE when planning for drydocking. 
  • Biofuel Adoption: Yavor Raynov from Seascale Energy conducted a detailed walkthrough of the usage and storage of biofuels.
  • Decarbonization: The Pool gave an update on the progress with respect to EU ETS, FuelEU and CARB regulations. 
  • Competitiveness: Hafnia’s long-term pool partner Chartworld gave a detailed briefing on USTR which was followed by a study on competitiveness for Additional War Risk Premium (AWRP) in the Arabian Gulf. 
  • AWRP: Where cost efficiencies / competitiveness on premiums was overviewed.
  • STS Document Clearance: Where the STS pre-screening document process was reviewed in ensuring consistency for compliance, reliability, and efficiency.

Beyond formal presentations, TAOC provided a valuable setting for informal exchanges and networking, reflecting Hafnia Pools commitment to mutual learning and continuous improvement.
