Head of Crewing Shivas Kapoor, GM was a guest speaker at a recent Lloyd’s Register Tech Talk, sharing Hafnia’s journey and experiences from our Culture Lab vessels as part of the session on Inclusivity, Diversity & Harmony Onboard.
The discussion aligned with recent IMO Resolution MSC.560(108) requirements on training related to sexual harassment, bullying, and sexual assault (SASH), which have now come into force.
The session brought together nearly 70 participants from across the industry, including shipowners, ship managers, and classification societies.
During the session, Shivas shared insights on: The evolution of inclusivity from a policy conversation to an operational priority; Key learnings from Hafnia’s Culture Lab initiative; Mindset shifts required onboard in a traditionally male-dominated industry and a Practical approach to building psychological safety and inclusive leadership at sea.
