Pranesh Kumar, GM, Technical, represented Hafnia at the LNG Bunkering Summit Asia 2026 in Singapore, joining industry leaders for a fireside chat focused on the operational realities of LNG bunkering across the region.
The session, titled “Where Does LNG Bunkering Actually Break? Operational Realities from Asia,” explored practical challenges on the ground -from scheduling conflicts and port congestion in ship-to-ship operations, to safety coordination between vessel crews and terminal operators. Discussions also addressed the impact of limited crew training and operational experience on scaling LNG bunkering, as well as how digital tools and process optimization can help improve turnaround times and reliability.
Pranesh was joined on the panel by peers from the International Chamber of Shipping and BHP – contributing to a candid exchange on how the industry can move from ambition to execution in LNG bunkering across Asia.
