As part of an esteemed panel, Pankaj Porwal, GM (Performance and Fleet Sustainability) was a panel speaker on the Singapore Shipowners Associations Webinar: “A Low Carbon Maritime SG” on the 25th of July.
Organized by Maritime Singapore (in collaboration with the Singapore Shipowners Association (SSA) & UN Global Compact Network Singapore (GCNS)) with their aim of driving insights into a low-carbon future and in advancing international shipping to be more sustainable – the webinar aimed at sharing knowledge and tools required for a smooth Net Zero transition via best practices, and innovative solutions promoting environmental sustainability and maritime decarbonization.
As part of the panel session, Pankaj participated in a discussion regarding the challenges in tracking, submitting, and managing carbon emissions in the maritime sector on the importance of continuous monitoring, adopting innovative technologies, and discussed possible pathways to overcome challenges within the industry.
