Hafnia CEO Mikael Skov was a speaker at Capital Link’s 17th Annual International Shipping Forum. Attended by global leaders in the maritime industry, this forum aims at examining macroeconomic issues that are shaping and are transforming the international shipping market. The agenda feature across the conference days included a comprehensive review and outlook of the various shipping markets, made more relevant by the release of companies’ annual results. Panel topics across various shipping segments covered industry geopolitics, energy security, covid restrictions in China and its impact, environmental regulations, technology, sanctions and tariffs, access to capital and more.
The Capital Link Forum is also a platform for scheduled 1X1 meetings between institutional investors and senior executives of shipping companies.
Mikael took part in the Product Tanker Shipping Sector panel moderated by Christian Wetherbee of Citi Research. Together with executives from Ardmore Shipping, Scorpio Tankers Inc, d’Amico International Shipping and Maersk Tankers, the panel discussed various factors affecting the freight market in the long and short term.
