Mia Krogslund Jørgensen, VP, Head of People, Culture & Strategy participated as a guest speaker at the International Maritime Organization’s International Day for Women in Maritime event held at the IMO Headquarters in London.
Organized under the theme “From Policy to Practice: Advancing Gender Equality for Maritime Excellence,” the event brought together over 500 maritime leaders, policymakers, and industry stakeholders to discuss approaches to advancing equality and diversity across the sector.
Mia joined the honorary session “From Commitment to Action: Best Practices in Gender Mainstreaming,” moderated by Atty. Sharon De Chavez-Aledo, Maritime Attaché of the Permanent Mission of the Philippines to the IMO.
The session also featured Professor Anna Petrig of the University of Basel and Professor Momoko Kitada of the World Maritime University.
During her panel, Mia shared perspectives from Hafnia’s ongoing work to support an inclusive, respectful, and collaborative culture across the organization – onshore and at sea.
