Hafnia recently hosted a Seafarers’ Family Day in Mumbai, India bringing together 67 participants, including seafarers, their families, and colleagues from the Singapore office and the BW Maritime India Branch Office.
The day was designed to strengthen connections between sea and shore, families and well-being, and community.
The event took place at The Society of the Home for the Aged, where participants spent the day engaging with residents through shared activities and entertainment. This consistent of games and performances.
A key highlight of the day was a mental health awareness session conducted in collaboration with ISWAN. Through practical guidance, the session presented by ISWAN focused on stress management, communication, and the important role families play in supporting seafarers during time at sea, while reinforcing awareness of available support resources.
As part of the visit, Hafnia donated essential supplies to the Home and enjoyed a meal with the residents. Participating families also received a small Hafnia token as a gesture towards their support.
Thank you to those involved in the organization, The Seafarers’ Family Day in Mumbai demonstrated the strength of the Hafnia community across sea and shore while participating and contributing towards the local community.
