Hafnia Hosts Successful TAOC Spring Meeting in Dubai, Strengthening Global Pool Partnership

Hafnia has recently concluded its first Technical and Operational Committee (TAOC) meeting of 2025, held on March 18 19 in Dubai. The biannual event brought together pool partners from across the globe with approximately 45 delegates in attendance from more than 12 countries.

Key topics at the 2025 Dubai meeting included:

  • Decarbonization and Biofuel Adoption: This included updates on the EU ETS and FuelEU Maritime regulations with Hafnia outlining its compliance strategy and ongoing biofuel trials across multiple vessels.
  • Security and Tradability: Maritime risk assessments were shared, focusing on West Africa and the Indian Ocean. Measures to maintain tradability such as SIRE inspections and USCG compliance were emphasized.
  • STS Documentation and Off-Hire Discussions: Progress from working groups on ship-to-ship (STS) documentation and revised off-hire principles highlighted continued efforts to streamline operations and ensure fairness among pool partners.
  • Strategic Digitalization: Hafnia shared developments in its ongoing digitalization initiatives on fleet performance and tracking.

Beyond formal presentations, TAOC provided a valuable setting for informal exchanges and networking, reflecting Hafnia Pools dedication to mutual learning and continuous improvement.

The next TAOC meeting will take place in Copenhagen, Denmark in September 2025.
