Hafnia recently held its biannual TAOC (Technical and Operational Committee) Meeting in Singapore, where our Pool Partners gathered to exchange knowledge, optimize technical and operational procedures.
Key topics discussed during the meeting and the overall agenda included:
- Security Insights: A comprehensive overview of global security trends and Hafnia’s approach to ensuring operational safety.
- Customer Panel on Vetting and Clearances: A dynamic session with Chevron, Shell, and P66’s Marine Assurance teams, focused on the new SIRE 2.0 regime, vetting processes, and how shipowners and oil majors are adapting to the evolving landscape.
- Decarbonization:
- EU ETS Update: With Hafnia’s pools fully operational under this framework, discussions centered more on challenges with MOHA vs trading accounts
- FuelEU Maritime: How to ensure that all stakeholders are prepared for the legislation’s implementation in 2025 and how we are implementing it within the pools.
- CII Revisions: Brief insights were shared on the industry’s input to the review of the regulation coming up
- Bunkering: The navigation of non-standard bunkering challenges and strategically choosing fuel battles.
- Other Operational Topics: Included Off-hire management, actual earnings, and broader operational efficiencies.
Hafnia’s TAOC Meetings continue to foster innovation, build stronger partnerships, and drive the collective success of our pool partners. We thank our Pool Partners for their active involvement and valuable contributions during the conference.
