Hafnia has recently concluded one of its Senior Officers Conference, held in Goa, India, between the 23rd and 24th of April.
The event brought together key stakeholders, including senior officers and office staff, for two days of insightful discussions and collaborative activities.
Day one of the conference, commenced with a focus on safety protocols and emergency procedures, underlining Hafnia’s commitment to safety and well-being. Surajit Chandra, Head of Technical for the in-house fleet, started the conference by delivering a compelling presentation on the conference theme, “Enduring – We never give up and we do the right thing always,” outlining the company’s vision, purpose, CARE values, and key updates.
Throughout the day, attendees experienced a series of informative presentations covering topics such as anti-bribery, media & crisis management, hazard removal case studies, zero-harm initiatives, security policies, and regional updates. Interactive polling questions and engaging discussions enriched the learning experience, fostering a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing.
The first day concluded with a Gala dinner, themed “GOAN,” where participants embraced the vibrant atmosphere in floral attire.
Day two, saw a continuation of the discussion and other activities, including an operation game that challenged officers to navigate simulated scenarios. Presentations on critical areas such as vetting, operations, chartering, bunkering, marine and technical performance, and crewing updates provided valuable insights and fostered meaningful dialogue.
The conference concluded with a lively Q&A session, allowing officers to pose questions and provide feedback, both in person and via the conference app.
