We are proud to announce that following our shortlisting in five award categories at the Mission to Seafarers Awards 2024: Seafarer of the Year, Innovation, Cadet of the Year, Shoreside Team, and Rescue Mission, we have won the Cadet of the Year and Rescue Mission categories.
This marks the 7th consecutive year of these awards, where Hafnia continues to hold the record amongst any tanker company for the highest number of shortlisted nominations, which each year receives thousands of entries from leading companies around the world.
Among our nominees this year, Captain Vitola (OSM/Hafnia) was recognized in the Seafarer of the Year category, while Christalove Agyin-Ayetse was shortlisted for Cadet of the Year. Shivas Kapoor was nominated in the Shoreside Team category, and the crew of the Hafnia Petrel was nominated for the Rescue Mission category. Additionally, Project Hologram received a nomination in the Innovation category.
We would like to extend our congratulations to Christalove Agyin-Ayetse aboard the Hafnia Lene for winning the Cadet of the Year award. This award (collected on behalf of Christalove by Rajesh Sapre, GM (Technical) honours the Cadet or Trainee who has made a significant contribution to the welfare of seafarers, both at sea and ashore. We also commend the crew of the Hafnia Petrel, who were highly recognized for their exceptional coordination in a successful rescue operation earlier this year that saved lives at sea.
Held annually in Singapore, the Mission to Seafarers Awards celebrate the invaluable contributions of seafarers worldwide. Hafnia is proud to participate in this celebration and to be recognized for our commitment to seafarers’ welfare and operational excellence.
