Last week, the Maritime Anti-Corruption Network (MACN) held its members meeting in Singapore, bringing together leaders from across the global shipping industry to discuss practical solutions for tackling maritime corruption and strengthening integrity.
Hafnia was represented by several colleagues from both shore and sea. Captain Tan joined the panel “Vessel CEOs – Industry Leadership at Sea & Navigating Corruption Risks”, sharing his insights on the realities of managing vessels in complex operating environments and how leadership at sea plays a key role in upholding transparency and ethical conduct. Head of Operations & Claims Dorte Christensen, co-hosted a workshop with Ann Shazell, Chair of MACN, on Contracts, ABC Clauses & Conduct, where participants finalized the long-awaited MACN Anti-Corruption Clause.
During the meeting, it was also announced that Dorte Christensen has been appointed Vice Chair of the MACN Board, alongside the newly appointed Chair Øistein Jensen, Chief Sustainability Officer at Odfjell SE. (link to full press release).
Dorte’s appointment recognizes her operational experience and longstanding advocacy for transparency and fair business practices – values deeply rooted in Hafnia’s own approach to responsible leadership.
Hafnia is proud to continue supporting MACN’s mission of creating a maritime industry free from corruption – an effort that aligns closely with our purpose of driving progress through collaboration, integrity, and action.
