Hafnia is pleased to announce that Dorte Thuesen Christensen, VP, Operations and Claims, has been elected to the Maritime Anti-Corruption Network’s (MACN) Board of Directors.
Dorte will join the Board together with Neale Proctor (Group Sales & Commercial Director, OMA Group in Africa) and Dieter Rohdenburg (CEO, Intership Navigation Co. Ltd), taking the over positions from Dorte Rolff (J. Lauritzen) and Kevin Leach-Smith (Taylor Maritime Ltd).
The Maritime Anti-Corruption Network was established in 2011 and has since then been committed to build an industry free of corruption. Today, MACN has more than 190 maritime company members who work hard every day towards the elimination of all forms of maritime corruption by raising awareness of the challenges faced, sharing best practices, and collaborating with governments, civil society, and non-governmental organizations to create a culture of integrity in the maritime sector, and to identify and mitigate the causes of corruption.
As Global Head of Operations and Claims at Hafnia, managing a 200+ ship pooling operation, Dorte has over 21 years of experience throughout her various tenures in the shipping industry.
As an active MACN member, Hafnia is proud to have a member of its team on the Board of this important Maritime cause.
A huge congratulations to Dorte, and we wish her all the best in her new role!
