Gulf Hill

Hafnia has entered into a joint venture with Big Hill on the development of a sustainable hydrocarbon fuels plant.

The joint venture will focus on establishing a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to the production of low carbon intensity (CI) clean methanol. These synthetic hydrocarbon fuels serves as a cleaner alternative to traditional fossil fuels, supporting the transition to greener energy sources.

This project, pending Final Investment Decision (FID) second half of 2025, aims to produce 2.85 MTPA of low CI clean methanol. Hafnia will provide the CO₂ and methanol transportation in connection with this project.

Hafnia and Big Hill will further explore opportunities to transport CO₂ and methanol, building a comprehensive supply chain for sustainable fuels and advancing the global transition to cleaner energy.
